Saudi Arabia is moving forward with its plans to develop the agricultural sector due to its direct contribution to food security, which was included in its proposal during the G20 presidency that the Kingdom attaches importance to issues of food and water security, sustainable agricultural development, and environmental balances, in cooperation with Arab, regional, and international organizations and institutions to achieve sustainability in the sector. The Kingdom’s agricultural output achieved a growth of 1.31% last year, 2019, thereby achieving the highest growth rate since 2015, as the agricultural gross domestic product reached approximately 61.4 billion riyals in constant prices
